It was later in elementary school that I became dead set on animation. I still find it to be an incredible art form, a great creative outlet, and a brilliant form of entertainment. Now that I’m older, and know what I love and want to do with myself, I know it’s finally my turn to do my best, and to put all of my effort and heart into entertaining others. I love putting that kind of dedication into my work and into my goals— and I feel as though I can also contribute to the CCA community with the passion that I have for myself and for others. Since a very young age, art has always been one of my major interests. I found joy in getting my hands messy with the paint and then transforming a white piece of paper into a something more than that with a rainbow of colors. In school, I always made sure to take all the possible art classes that were available and would fit my schedule. I also began to get more in involved in after school clubs such as the National Art Honor Society and the SmART Club where we did several art projects every week. On my last year of high school I decided to challenge myself and I took AP Studio Art: Drawing Portfolio.…

I decided to attend Florida A&M University (FAMU) for a variety of reasons, including the location of its campus, because I was offered a full scholarship, and of course, because of the pharmacy program. Moreover, I believe that I am the ideal candidate for being a part of FAMU’s pharmacy program. To begin, FAMU is located in Tallahassee, Florida, a city that I had wanted to attend college in since I was in elementary school. Tallahassee is a city of containing and surrounded by many events and opportunities, so no matter your preferred “scene,” you are likely to be able to find something you do. Another upside to FAMU’s location is that it also places me very close to my mother and the rest of my maternal family, who I had previously not gotten to see almost since elementary school.…

In 2004, six years after graduating High School, I knew I needed to do more with my life than I was, so I joined the Air Force. This is a very basic way to describe it. I realized I was capable of more in my life; I recognized that I couldn’t get there working where I was; I identified that the military had careers that interested me, and I narrowed the jobs down to the Air Force. This is not to say I did it all for only that reason. I also had considered the military before, as my father and most of his brothers had served in the military at some point.…
