CARE International Case Study

The organization that I did my research on is CARE International. It aims to work around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice, promote empowerment, address discrimination, etc. This is an independent international humanitarian agency that aims to help any country in need. They focus on not only short-term aid but long term rehabilitation, ensuring that once they leave the country will be able to fight future crisis on their own. CARE has worked in 95 countries in the past year alone, reaching over 65 million people. I focused on CARE’s involvement with Haiti as that is the country I did my research on. For over fifty years, CARE has been helping Haiti defeat poverty, provide sanitation, medical aid, etc. The paper also covers the history, funds and partners of CARE International. The organization that I chose to research is CARE international. The name CARE originally was known as the Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe, and it was later updated to Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere in 1993. It is a global confederation of 14 organizations working towards ending poverty. …show more content…
