C. Wright Mills Sociological Analysis

One of the most significant Sociologists, C. Wright Mills came up with a concept called sociological imagination in the year 1959. His goal in creating and developing this idea was to make people observe and think critically about society in a way that an outsider, who is not assimilated with our basic knowledge of our own society, would observe. He wanted to make individuals step out of their shoes and trade in their perspective for another. In doing this, it causes an individual to become more familiar with the qualities and tendencies of our society, as well as how they shape the members of society as people.
