People read hundreds of objects during their day. Those object could be something as necessary as a road sign to something just to fill boredom like a cereal box. What is being read when someone is making their way around their daily life does not matter. Words are exposed to us in every form of communication and in every way possible. In school, students are thought to read as early as possible. I remember the exact words that my first-grade teacher said to the class of twenty first-graders after we had just recited our ABCs to her in perfect unison. She said, “Now kids we can use the letters and mix them in different ways to write a word, we take a C from the left and the A that’s right by it and the T from right here. Dr. Seuss created a book that every single person can read with only a small knowledge of words. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is one of the very few books that has been read by the majority. I believe I haven’t found someone who hasn’t read the classic.Yes, the story doesn’t contain the greatest amount of logic, if I remember correctly right after Dr. Seuss finish talking about fish, he goes into talking about the few that run for fun in the hot, hot sun and then it goes into the number of feet and fingers a person has. The story is obviously not supposed to make logical sense, we have to remember that it’s still a children's book, but one of the book's main purpose is to engage the reader to continue reading and to ask what will happen next in the unpredictable text. There are many books that were started and ended before I could get to the end because the book does not have me into its story. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish is able to keep any reader’s focus not matter what age, reading experience, or background they have to allow the reader to
