The story begins with Buttercup, who is one of the world's most beautiful women. Buttercup has a sort of tomboyish personality and lives on a farm with her mom and dad, her horse, and Westley the farm boy. One afternoon a group of Florinese royalty appear on the farm. While Buttercup watches the Countess stare at Westley, she falls suddenly, madly, in love with this Westley she has known all her life. She tells him about her love to him, and he leaves immediately to America to seek his fortune. He is reported to be killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts. Buttercup is broken, and vows never to love someone else again. Buttercup is captured by three men, but someone is following them. My favorite part of this book is the intense action and suspense,
