Bussey Family Day Care (BFDC) is a small daycare owned my LaVerne Michelle Bussey Kemp and has been in business for over 22 years. BFDC strategy is to run a small daycare that is focused on a child’s personal, mental, and developmental needs. BFDC advertised for the daycare to open for business on August 7, 1995 with one location and two shifts were available. Before the opening day of business, BFDC had 30 kids enrolled arranging from 6 weeks to 4 years old. It did not take long for BFDC to reach their 50 kids capacity. BFDC prepared a future clients waiting list for those that wanted to attend the daycare. When a child left BFDC, another child from the top of the client’s list started.
