What are Physical resources
Physical resources are the resources that the business needs to carry on its business activities such as Materials, waste and facilities. All the resources within the business help the business carry on. If the resources were not to be taken care of the business might have suffer or even close down, since if costa didn’t have any security the business might attract thieves, this would make it hard for the business to carry since they are losing time and money. If a business like costa didn’t have the right insurance and the establishments was to be set on fire there would be no way to compensate for the damage.

Costa being a coffee shop might require specific equipment such as cups, coffee beans and electricity for the machines. Having all theses equipment’s will make costa more efficient since they wont need to hire or rent them from other places, they also wont need to hire someone to clean it up which makes them more efficient at what they are doing. Not being efficient will lead to supply being wasted which will lead to money being lost.
Plant & machinery A big business would normally have a big factory that would produce the good that they will sell company light Samsung have massive factories in china that allows them to produce the goods they need.
Equipment including ICT Machines are needed with almost every business to allow them to operate smoothly. Ict would normally be used in computers and machines, depending on the business type computers and software will always need to be licenced
Vehicles The vehicles are used within any business to transport the raw materials and goods from one place to another. Costa would have a delivery service that sent the mail the raw materials they need like coffee beans and milk. Without the raw materials costa wouldn’t be able to produce the costa coffee that they sell to their

Having a security guard to check the shop during or after hours will lead to the protection in the business since security guards with dogs can easily sniff out people who are leaking with the building having a security system would also deter criminals since if they were to trigger the cameras they would be easily caught on camera another form of protection would be having alarms that go straight to the police placed under the desk of employees, this would mean if a thief was to come into the shop and teal or damage something the employees would have a direct line to the police. Costa being a large company might attract the wrong Types of customers that wish to do harm to the costa brand, therefore security would most likely be hired to protect against thieves and criminals by installing security systems like security cameras and alarms that go directly to the police. If such security systems were not installed this would mean that thieves would be able to break in and steal whatever they wanted without getting caught this would lead other criminals to start attacking which would have negative effect on costa because they would be wasting money and time cleaning up the mess left by the
