The author then goes on to discuss that such strengths will speak volumes for the company even when they are faced with threatening occurrences like the one they are currently experiencing in introducing its new Curbside service in 4,000 stores nationwide. A service the author feels is complementary to customers as they will be able to use a CVS or Curbside app to order from the online store, and have those products personally delivered to their car inside of a CVS parking lot. This service is known as ScriptSync and it’s a service that will automatically refill the prescriptions of patients on a specific day of the month. Also, a service that has allowed the pharmacy department to be one of the first and only to provide this type of service to its customers. The author comments that this service has been already been around for a year at CVS locations and that “more than one million patients have been enrolled in ScriptSync at CVS Pharmacy and preliminary results demonstrate that the service, on average, improves medication adherence by between five to 10 percent” (PR Newswire, 2016).
