The best business model for Judy’s Internet Jewelry Store is a business to consumer model or merchant model. This model is best because the jewelry store is a merchant which sells items for profit. This business model allows customers to purchase items which are kept in stock in a warehouse. This model is better than a B2B2C which is a business to business to consumer model. A B2B2C is a business model that takes orders from consumers, charges for merchandise and then rely on a different company to send the merchandise out to the consumer. It depends on its website to make profits. There are several advantages of having a website; it allows quick access to information about the company’s merchandise and sales, it allows accessibility to all consumers in different parts of the world which equals more profit and it allows a businesses to receive instant results of sales campaign numbers. Online businesses, unlike traditional brick and mortar businesses can quickly receive real-time results of their sales campaign strategies, so that immediate adjustments can be if necessary as told by (Wong, 2009).
Judy’s Internet Jewelry Store helps support their customers by having live chat agents available 24/7 to answer inquiries, assist with issues and help with technical support. One advantage of having a live chat agent is that someone is always available to answer product questions and the agents are sales persons as well. This is good for consumers who have merchandise questions or concerns and for the consumers who are indecisive and need to talk things over to be able to make the right choice or selection.
