Business Men's Club The "B-M-C" over the door of this 1910 building stood for the Business Men's Club, which became the Chamber of Commerce in 1913. The Memphis Business Men’s Club was created in 1899. The reason that they built this Business Club because they wanted to advance the interests of memphis. In 1910 , the building was designed Shaw and Pfeil ,they took the idea for the designs of architect Louis Sullivan. The Business Men’s club changed their name so many time. In 1913, they changed their name to the Memphis Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber of Commerce moved to other building which is the Falls Building on Front Street.
