The weaknesses of the Sheraton Hotels had occurred when they entered Australian market. Firstly, limited activity, Sheraton hotels in Australia is franchise therefore, the main head department does not allowed to involve in management property. As the result the head department cannot involve in management process, so error of management may occur. Secondly, opportunity lost, for example, when the company agrees to open a franchise in Australia they also lost the opportunity for the main company to invest in Australian market, which is a potential market. Thirdly, competitors are easily replicate innovation in customer service. Namely, Sheraton give competitors the chances to learn from them the process to manage the company, how to serve and satisfied customer needs. Lastly, Rapid expansion, especially in price conscious developing markets, lead to brand dilution.
