o Mail/E-mail Server – this is required within the company. A mail server is known as a mail transfer. In other words, is an application that receives an incoming email from other users. One example of a mail server could be Outlook. The company will use a mail server for sending emails to clients and staffs about important information. In order for a mail server to function properly, Terex will need a device called a Switch. A switch helps the business to connect a device e.g. mail server to a client’s computer, for example in order for a client to receive an email form Terex, the business needs a mail server which is connected to a switch, then the switch can send the email to the email client. Therefore, having a switch will be very useful …show more content…
In other words, the file server allows the users to share document/information over the network, without actually having to save the works onto a memory stick or any other external storage device, this therefore is very useful for the business because the staff do not need to waste their time in sending the document/information to other members within the workplace. This is therefore one advantage of having a file server in the company. Another advantage of a file server would be that the data which is stored within the server is more likely to be secured, because sometimes the file server often have redundant hard disks this means that no single disk failure can cause data loss. In order for this to actually work Terex will need a switch. The switch will help the files get send to the file client, for example the file client documents will send to the Switch, the switch will then transfer the documents in the file server which therefore it will be saved and secure in the file
