For my Business Interview and Report I assignment I chose Port of Churchill as this company was of most interest for me personally. Luckily Mr. Ken Wong (our Business Outreach Instructor) invited Jeff McEachern (Executive Director of Churchill Gateway Development Corporation) for our Business Outreach class and I had an opportunity to get introduced, make a proper impression and ask for the interview.

Jeff McEachern is engaged in work with Port of Churchill as Executive Director since 2011. He has background in IT and technologies and entrepreneurship. Prior to Port of Churchill he used to work for ProfitMaster Canada for 13 years as President and VP for Bell Business Solutions for 2 years. His strong skills are Business Strategy, Strategic Planning, Negotiation, Start-ups and Mergers.
The Churchill Gateway Development Corporation was founded in 2003 to make the Port of Churchill more recognizable around the world through diversifying the traffic base and building two-way traffic. It is a public-private partnership and includes representation from the Government of Canada and the Province of Manitoba and OmniTRAX, INC. Thanks to this opportunity to conduct the Interview with Jeff McEachern I had a chance to get my Internship in Port of Churchill and my responsibility would be to conduct 2 research projects and insightful analysis of research, including financial modelling, for the following:
Pelletizing Grain Waste - conduct an analysis of the market conditions for pelletizing the Port of Churchill’s grain waste for sale nationally or to export markets. This includes conducting an examination of the physical requirements for pelletizing grain waste and the suitability of the Port’s grain waste waste by-products for resale as feed
