Discussion Board Forum 1: Business Ethics Next Step Herbal Health Company is recruiting Ramona Alexander for a sales position. Next Step manufactures and sells herbal products such as foods and supplements. Next Step is considered one of the fastest growing companies in America and was even featured in Forbes Magazine. Ramona researched this company and found conflicting articles. Some articles extolled the company’s success in sales. Another praised the company on how it sent researchers around the world searching for new organic sources for their products. One article claimed the company had an industry leading ethics code. But yet other articles were not so friendly to Next Step. For example, one article explained how Next Step was a large contributor to progressive institutions such as the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. Another web site accused Next Step of unethical business practices such as forcing their distributors to buy a set amount of product irrespective of their sales figures. It went on to say that Next Step also made distributors buy lesser selling brands of their product if they wanted to buy …show more content…
