Mission Statement: Tesla Motors’ mission is to create and sell vehicles that will aid in the ability to better the environment. We want to move the world towards sustainable energy. The mission statement above is a great representation of what the corporation is aiming towards. Tesla develops and sells electric cars. The corporation was created in 2003 for that sole purpose. Tesla is working towards proving to the world that electric cars can be better than gasoline automobiles. The corporation is doing business with the shared value creation framework in mind.

The corporation is pursuing to change the automobile industry through continuous innovation with electric automobiles. Tesla wants to show the world that electric cars can be better than gas powered automobiles. The corporation also wants to showcase that style, technology, and room do not have to be sacrificed with electric vehicles. In order to change people’s negative outlook about electric vehicles, Tesla must continuously be innovative and problem solve for their vehicles. Besides Tesla having an innovative culture, the corporation also has an ethical environment. Honesty is extremely important to the corporation. A former CEO, Martin Eberhard, was caught being dishonest in his representation of the corporation. For this reason, co-founder Elon Musk fired Martin. Deepak was brought onto the Tesla team in 2008. He had prior experience as a CFO from working at Ford in the Southern Africa sector. He became promoted to CFO at Ford from his former position as Manager over acquisitions and divestitures.
Services, Products, Solutions The first vehicle that Tesla Motors produced was the Tesla Roadster. This electric sports car was the first high-performance vehicle of its kind. The Roadster was a two-seat convertible. It was unique in the fact that it had mixture of style, performance, and energy efficiency. It had the ability to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour within 3.7 seconds. It also had a maximum speed of precisely 120 mph. Finally, the Tesla Roadster had a driving range of 245 miles on one battery charge.
Model S is purely electric. It is a four-door sedan with the capability of seating five-adult passengers. The Model S had the ability to accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour within 4.4 seconds.
