Spartan Inc is a leading private label grocery that specializes in provision of grocery products through supermarkets and supercenters. Its line of products is private-branded, with its most prominent private brands being Spartan, Full Circle, Valu, and Top Care. In the recent times, however, prevailing business environment has brought in new marketing dynamics necessitating a course of action so that Spartan Inc and its line of products remain relevant in the market. As such, a SWOT analysis is essentially worthwhile, as it will help the firm evaluate various elements in its micro and macro-environment, and precisely determine the set of these elements that it should be confer the best competitive advantage (Barney & Hesterly, 2006).
