They keep Mrp Sports and going and they determine the sales percentages of the day. Without them Mrp wouldn’t be anything that they are today. The challenge that Mrp Sports has is that the customers and many other people tend to think that because the prices are so convenient and regarded ‘cheap’, people think that the quality of the items are not good and do not last. That is one of the biggest challenges that they face.

• Power of suppliers: Suppliers are vital to Mrp Sports. Suppliers have certain contracts with Mrp and it is very difficult to always maintain a good relationship with them and that comes out as a great big challenge to Mrp Sports. This is very difficult regarding sporting equipment such as tennis rackets, hockey sticks, golf clubs etc. Even though it is difficult it must still be a priority that Mrp makes sure that there are substitute good for the items that might not be there or might be out of stock already. Also a variety is always needed in Mrp Sport. Many customers want to see different things on the shelves from time to time or else everything thing else just becomes dull and boring. Without the availability of substitute goods then customers go to fellow competitors who are in the same market as Mrp Sport and get what they want from there or similar to it. That is why it is always safe to have substitute goods ready.

• Level of rivalry: The level of rivalry contains the current competitors of Mrp Sports. “ It is important for any business to know what competitors are doing” (STRYDOM, 2014)
This is the greatest challenge that Mrp Sport faces. It is always difficult to outdo the competitors as well keep your customers and for them to keep their customer brand loyalty. Mrp Sport should look for a gap so as in a sector or function in which their competitors such as Sportsmans warehouse is struggling with or is not performing well in as well as a sector where Mrp Sports is doing extremely well in. Certain factors need to be considered: o Size and financial resources of the business o Market

REI is more than just a retail store for outdoor clothing, gear, and footwear. REI’s core purpose is seen in all their messaging, “we all work to inspire, education and outfit for a lifetime of outdoor adventure and stewardship”. The retail store is unique because they develop their own gear alongside the brands for which they are also a supplier. REI stands apart from other retail stores because the company is a leader in conservation efforts, the employees are outdoor experts who know all the gear first-hand, retail locations organize excursion trips and product education opportunities. I believe the two most important aspects are that REI is a consumer cooperative and aspires to change culture.…

With thousands of workers and hundreds of suppliers, supply chain managers must be of the highest quality in order to keep everything running smoothly. In order to make sure that these supply managers have the ability to do this though, Woolworths must ensure that the technology used to track inventory is suitable and in working order. Suppliers must also believe that they are valued by the company and not just another spoke on the wheel. Ever since the beginning of sports, there has always be the sense of rivalry, whether it be between players, teams, coaches or countries, there is always the need to be better than the other, which the right side belongs to those who have proved it. Attending the fifth annual Alabama Program in Sports Communication, I was able to catch the 9:10 am panel, Competitive Paper Panel. Three topics were presented, using a statistic model for predicting and analyzing a NHL result, how men and women genders are portrayed in athletics by analyzing the Chinese coverage of gymnastics from the 2016 Summer Olympics, and a battle of nationalism and self- identity within Great Britain by using the analysis from 2016 Union of European Football Associations EURO Championships. All sounded great and did present some knowledgeable information, but only one hung to me, the battle of nationalism and self – identity.…
