The cornucopia of different signs and symbols in the store aid shoppers in finding their desired brands or departments easily and quickly. They also help employees with organizing merchandise and making it easier to help point things out to a customer in need. The signs are utilized mainly to improve convenience for everybody. During the holiday seasons, Macy’s runs a campaign called “Believe” to support the Make-A-Wish foundation, a foundation that helps children with life-threatening medical conditions. In every store across the country, Macy’s has red letterbox and a huge “Believe meter” next to it, which are recognizable and symbolic to Macy’s and the Make-A-Wish Believe Campaign. The 2014 campaign will mark the 7th year that Macy’s and the Make-A-Wish foundation have celebrated this event. This campaign is designed so that everyone who believes in Santa Claus can send a stamped letter to Santa in the North Pole by dropping it in the special red letterbox located in every Macy’s nationwide.
