Business Analysis: Bushboots

BushBoots

The product we selected is Timberlands. Australia markets do not sell these kinds of boots and making the choice to import them would be very beneficial for the sellers. These boots aren’t your typical boots that ware out in a couple months of good use, these boots are made for hiking, camping, and for pretty much any situation. Australia has boots but not the good quality that Timberlands have to offer. Timberlands are better quality and would last longer than any other type of boot from over there. Australia would spend money to get better products on better boots that more people would buy. The name of our company is BushBoots, and we chose it because it’s a short, catchy name that is easy to remember. The trademark that we created for Bushboots is going to include, exporting Timberlands to Australia and go from there with supply and demand.

The main trade alliance that Australia belongs to is the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. Which includes, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russian Federation, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam. The main people that they trade with are, China, Japan, New Zealand, UK, and the United States. Two trade barriers that we found were; Quarantine, which they go through permits and inspecting all the shipments. And Chemical Import Requirements, who deal with importing all chemicals in and out of Australia. These barriers help keep the people safe from any hazardous things that might be leaving or entering the country. It wouldn’t change a lot with how you do business with them, depending on the product you’re trying to

With a quota, a government decides that only a certain number of a specific product can be imported. A third type of trade barrier is an embargo.…

Laws in Australia are often created to protect the country from perceived threats from outside of the nation. Australia as a nation has significantly grown in population, allies and fears. Australia’s population growth is mainly due to immigration after the Second World War affecting contemporary Australia. The nation was also able to build itself an image in the international community when Australia was able to have a say in its foreign policies and allies. With a growing population and foreign policies, the country developed fears and threats from the outside community which impacted the way the country is governed during high periods of tension such as the Cold War and now the rise of terrorism.…

Since the end of World War II, the American military established their country as a world power. American patriotism erupted and the American ideals to protect liberty were reborn. Never was one nation so proud of its soldiers. However, by the early 21st century, Americans would be involved in a different war in the Middle East--where honor on the battlefield suggested more than bravery, and machines fought alongside men--the stakes of foreign relations were high and the rules of the battlefield would affect soldiers and citizens alike to this very day. Australia and the United States (U.S.) have shared a profitable relationship for many years, reaching as far back as World War I, where they fought side by side during every major war since that time (U.S. State Department, 2016). The military and political relations between Australia and the U.S. has cemented trade agreements, resulting in benefitting both nations, and their strong alliance is due to many of their shared cultural beliefs and democratic views. According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, culture is defined as “the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place, or time” (Culture, n.d.). Based on this definition, a comparison can be made on many different levels, from military priorities to society and…
