After applying different strategies our company progress slowly each week. Because glo-bus exercise is a real-time game, I learned how to play it to achieve a successful result. Glo-bus helped me to learn real time business experience and showed me how with just minor modification you can change the whole impact of a company. Strategy is another important lesson I learned from this exercise. Although, I am a very organized person, glo-bus helped me developed multitask handling skill together with being very organized. In order to get the right results in this exercise, the group collaboration and team work was a very important key. A huge achievement in this competition was that I learned the marketing strategies which were very vague for me before and this was the first time I have done real time business game experience as an academic task. One big disadvantage we had in our group was that three of the co-managers were accounting majors and did not have any experience with this kind of business plan. Even though our company was not the top company in the competition, it opened a new world of knowledge for …show more content…

As a result, we started discussing our changes as a group and tried to come up with a strategy that will help us make better decisions. We reach to the conclusion that our lack of knowledge put us behind the other companies which had a bad impact on our company. For example, the ROE for year 6 we had only $0.65 compared to the best group in the class which had $4.11, and ROE 10.7% compared to 52.8% of the top company in the game. We realized that in order to succeed in this game, we have to learn that when we make our company we have to understand everything about market and business planning. The first year is the most crucial in the business to prosper and be ahead of the game. After our discussion as a group, we made the changes for the next round which was year 7, and we got an increase in our ERS and ROE in such way that we jumped from the 10th place to the

As the Globus simulation progressed, one of the things we learned is that we should have kept the same ROE escalation towards the later decisions as we did in the beginning. From year five to year eight, our ROE is consistently increasing by 10-15%. However, as we move on, the ROE starts to plateau and fluctuate by a few percentages. With our year eleven decision, it decreased by at least ten percent from the previous year due to the fact that we overstated our prices which decreased the net revenue. As Co-managers of Hahaha Company, we need to improve our consistency.…
