Burning Coal: Negative Effects On The Earth's Environment

Mining, transporting and burning coal all have negative effects on the earth's environment. When mining for coal, acidic water can drain into the environment, polluting the ecosystem near the site the coal was mined. Also, some methods of mining require you to blow off the tops of mountains to get to the coal inside the mountain. Lastly, mining for coal causes many deaths of humans around the world every year. Burning coal releases many air pollutants which even Include mercury which can lead to problems in the nervous system and development of a human. Lastly burning coal creates ash, which causes air pollution.
