“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples” (Mother Teresa). Mother Teresa was a genuinely wise woman, this statement shows that. She believed that even though an individual cannot change the world alone, each person can do a minuscule act to start the wave. This statement is one of my life mottos.
There are several issues in today's world that I would like to be a leader of change for: violence, self harm and suicide, bullying; just to name a few. These are all issues that are upon the world, that don’t need to be a part of the world today. The safety of our children and families when it comes to fire is taken advantage of. There are various reasons why this is something in the back of most minds. Why is this? The children receive the talk about fire and burns at school, parents show them how to flee in the event of a fire, and the children learn how stop, drop, and roll. Needless to say, this generates a safe feeling, when this feeling is basically putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. This is why I want to constitute this as an issue to give attention to.
The heartbreaking reality of life is, there is always a present danger of burn injuries occurring, as long as there is fire, flammables, or hot water. This will never prevent myself from being an advocate of change. We can take the necessary steps to lower the risk of
