The youth was taken into custody on new charges Burgl-Unoccupied Conveyance Unarmed and Grand Theft.
The youth was cooperative while at the call center. The youth does show remorse for his actions and regents not going home. The mother Keya Laws was cooperative during the screening process. The mother stated the youth does abide by her rules and rarely cause problems in the home.
The youth reported he is currently in the 12th grade enrolled in Catapult Academy. Youth reported he is currently above grade point average. He also stated he is only six credits away before finishing his schooling. The Youth stated he has no problems with his teacher’s. The youth currently has a part time job working at Wendy’s. The youth reported he is upset considering he just started his job. The youth also reported he has a baby on the way. The youth reported this incident is an eye opener considering he is going to be a father.

The youth was a hit for additional services according to the Positive Achievement Change Tool Mental Health and Substance Abuse Referral Form. A referral was made to Stewart Marchman.
The transporting officer stated the youth was cooperative while in custody.
The youth was taken into custody Burgl-Unoccupied Conveyance Unarmed and Grand Theft. The youth’s risk level to re-offend is Moderate-High according to the Positive Achievement Change Tool. The youth is currently under the supervision of the department. The youth meets criteria for Probation Supervision, Probation Enhancement, and Day Treatment. The youth also meets criteria for non-secure residential commitment and secure residential commitment. The Department of Juvenile Justice respectfully recommends judicial handling in this
