Family-Oriented Focus
The management at Burgers wants their employees to feel like a part of the family. After all, if an employee is satisfied with their job, they are likely to be more productive and stay at the job. Burgers gives employee a company t-shirt and company meat products (at Christmas). They collect soda cans to get cash for the company flower fund. This helps buy things for people at either their most joyous moments (such as a new baby) or at their sad times (such as a funerals). But, customers or other people in general receive the warmth of Burgers’ employees’ hearts.
Customer and People Oriented
Even though Burgers’ Smokehouse focuses on selling meat products to customers, they also have a heart for others in need. They collected nonperishable items for those who have suffered through Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, and Hurricane Maria. Items include drinking water, sanitary items (toothpaste, soap, shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, and female items, and non-perishable foods (canned goods or boxed food items). One could compare it to two superhero characters. In Marvel, it would be Fantastic Fours’ Mr. Fantastic, while in DC it would be Plastic Man. Mr. Fantastic reached out to get things or save people from danger. Plastic Man changed is hands to things that were needed for the job or action at hand. Change is relavent when one takes into account their client’s wants, therefore both technology and the human point of view must be taken into account to beat out competitors (Babalac, 2013).
