The Adelburgers were a closely guarded secret the high ranking members who made up RGA high command. What was even more peculiar about this unofficial policy of denying the existence of the Adelburgers and their FVL allies was Walther Schäffer’s second-in-command: the brilliant, yet shady Gerhard Voss. Like his superior, Voss also hailed from the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Boston. A sixteen year old Ryanite that most of the RGA has never heard about, those few who ever had even a single chance at meeting the boy, spoke immensely of the aura of mystery that pervaded him. The story behind Voss’ rise to power can be attributed to his brilliance as a consultant for the Dweller leaders who made up the Coalition that was led by Hades, the…

Each year, an estimated 70 billion pounds of food are wasted in America. We turn up our noses at a bruised apple, at a carton of milk that’s a few days past its expiration date, at unappetizing and overcooked broccoli. We sigh, say “Oh well,” and shrugging our shoulders, we throw perfectly edible food into the trash. Supermarkets dump out trays of slightly wilted kale, and they throw out the pallet of applesauce because cans on one side were damaged (never mind the cans on the other side that were still in perfect shape). Secure in our privilege, in our position as a wealthy country, we destroy food like a child destroys a Barbie.…
