Descriptive Essay: Clovers

Sometimes, Clover 's kind of a clairvoyant. Okay, not really, but she can just tell that it 'll be a shitty day. She has two tests (one is a presentation, though, but still), she doesn 't have a partner for an upcoming project, and she ate all bits of satisfactory food yesterday.
She knows she 'll be a pain in the ass today.
She rubs her eyes, rolls out of bed and lands on the floor in a heap of pillows and . . . herself. With a yawn, she stands up and stretches, letting another yawn fill the morning silence.
She 's done a lot of rolling. Maybe she should get her mom to bake some cinnamon rolls.
Food. Food, food, food, food, food, food.
She chants this in her head as she slips into her slippers, (that are two gigantic sheep) runs downstairs, desperate after filling her stomach with something (even

"Why on earth are you here?" she says. Does she have morning breath right now?
"Clover!" her mom hisses. "Sorry, Adam, Clover 's not really a morning person."
Clover ignores her mother’s warning glares. "That 's right. Which is why you gotta get that ass off my couch, so I can lay down and ponder what to do with my life."
"That 's enough. Either you be nice or you join Arsenal out there." Her mother points toward the terrace doors. Joining her dog sounds better than to chat with her mom and her polar opposite over some cups of tea.
Adam is eyeing her profoundly; she can 't quite distinguish whether the look 's supposed to be scathing or just curious. Currently, she 's leaning toward the latter (he can 't possibly judge her without knowing her, right?). Maybe her rudeness, her batman pajamas or her sheep slippers cause the look. Or maybe it 's the fact that she looks like some guy (yes, guy) from a zombie show.
"Soccer fan?" he asks.
"Nope. Arrow fan," she answers with a broad grin.
Clover seats herself in the armchair, studying the guy that is occupying her house without any warning whatsoever. Thanks,

Standing on the curb, Veronica pulled her jacket tighter against the breeze, and exhaled the slightest bit when the charger came into view. Through the car’s heavy tint, she couldn’t see the driver exactly, but the effortlessly smug look from the driver’s seat when she climbed in was instantly familiar. Hands at her sides, feeling the seat’s leather as he peeled away from the curb, Veronica had to miss the bike, a little. Sure, the threat of death rang less imminent, even in the seat termed ‘shotgun,’ but oddly enough, sharing a console felt more intimate than the physical proximity of sharing the motorcycle. “Are you gonna tell me what this is about?”…

IMPETUS: the force by which a body moves. A single flickering street lamp illuminated the abandoned streets below. Ash danced on the wind, interrupted by the charred, black skeletons of what had once been sturdy foundations to village houses, coating the parts of the street where there was still gasoline with burnt memories. It settled on the occasional corpse, mimicking skin where the muscle had been touched by fire, drawing halos of gray chalk around the shattered skulls of innocents that had died escaping before the flames could claim them.…

Today is going to be just like any other day, I sketched in my morning journal. The morning Baltimore sun shone past the skyscrapers of downtown, and light protruded through the silk blinds that covered half of the picture window in my room. I rose up from my queen bed. The sheets had become untucked and the comforter lay halfway off the edge. My back rested against the mahogany headboard with my head fitting perfectly between two of the wooden posts.…
