Bumper Sticker Research Paper

The bumper sticker I choose reads as the following, "sorry for driving so close in front of you". Since the of the bumper sticker is in bold white lettering, it can be clearly read if a car is close enough. The bumper sticker is referring to tailgating and telling fellow drivers to not to drive so close to their vehicle.
Tailgating is a very common driving habit that should be broken. I and even members of my family are guilty of bumper to bumper driving. There have been occasions where a driver would intentionally slam on their brakes because I was driving too close behind their car. Since their vehicle could possibly be hit and cause damage, tailgating angers many drivers.
Research done by Highway agencies have found that tailgating causes

I expect that Bernie Sanders will win. He is very intelligent and has an amazing view. I think Clinton will mostly agree with Bernie Sanders with their common views, but she is pretty corrupt. I don’t really know the other candidates who are running but they didn’t really stand out to me like Sanders did. I heard a lot of people liked him so I researched him a bit and started to like him as well.…

Next year promises to bring us one of the most polarizing and ideologically charged presidential elections in recent memory. The first decade and a half of the 21st century has witnessed momentous changes in the American political landscape from threats of foreign and domestic terrorism to a resurgence of philosophies once thought to be extinct from the public consciousness. During this pivotal moment in our history however, many Americans are losing faith in either party’s ability to cater to their needs which has in turn created a set of circumstances under which people with more radical ideas have at last enter the national spotlight. One such person is a self-proclaimed socialist caucusing with the Democrats named Bernie Sanders who has…

The English defeated the French and were able to control what we now call the United States of America. In the mid fifteenth century the Portuguese began taking African people as slaves out of Africa, beginning a process that led to the enslavement of millions of Africans in Europe and the Americas. The End of Bernie Sanders and His Fake Political Revolution At last, the long national nightmare of the Democratic Party’s Presidential Primary race is over. Senator Bernie Sanders, who arguably ran a spirited campaign albeit, a disingenuous, demagogic and unrealistic one, (though he has yet to formally concede defeat) has finally acknowledged that his path to the nomination is all but over. As a liberal, I know this is a provocative piece and one that is bound to be unpopular among young progressives. Also, given the full-scale efforts with which the Democratic “establishment” are courting Senator Sanders, treating him with kid gloves and twisting themselves into pretzels in the hope that he will quietly go away, I am certain this article…

If the vehicle in front is a truck, then your lack of visibility is compounded. Tailgating a motorcyclist threatens the person's life. Motorcyclists can fall off their bikes on slippery pavement or when they hit a pothole.…

The sticker project was an experiment for me, in that it was my first time in highschool seriously taking notes on textbook reading. What I found showed that it was likely not worth the additional time needed. My evidence suggests that students similar to me are not helped by doing the sticker project and are potentially harmed, but that more scientific testing is necessary to draw any conclusions. My quiz and tests from during the sticker challenge had a lower average than the ones from during the rest of the school year. In addition, I noticed that the quizzes and tests were qualitatively more difficult for me.…

Say you were going the posted speed limit and there probably would have been enough time to slam on the brakes. Reckless and pointless speeding takes lives every day, and I would hate to have to feel that pain everyday of knowing I hurt someone by pure carelessness. The impact on a person in a crash at 60 mph is equivalent to falling from a four story building, while the impact at 100 mph equals falling from a twelve-story building. While you’re speeding, you have significantly less time to check your surroundings. When a driver is speeding, other drivers have a hard time telling how fast they are going.…

This behavior depends and expects the reaction time of the person they are passing to be good enough that they can recognize the situation and then react accordingly. This doesn’t take into account the fact that some people won’t be able to react as fast. They may be a new driver and are not confident in their ability to counter the positions they have been put in.
