Bummeo: A Short Story

Bummeo grew confused. “What is a bed?” she thought.
Jared saw her confusion and grew confused.
“Do you not know what a bed is? It is where you sleep.”
Bummeo smiled and began to feel dumb. Jared got a little closer and apologized. He was not trying to make her feel that way. Bummeo yawned and began to lay on the couch.
“Okay, I guess we will talk tomorrow. Get some sleep.”
Bummeo closed her eyes and feel into a deep sleep, listening to the door close behind Jared. Bummeo shapeshifted back into her green skin and pointy chin. Cuddled in her blankets, she wakes up in the morning to screaming and shapeshifts back into her human self.
“I’M SORRY MOM! I DIDN’T MEAN TO KNOCK THE CHAIR OVER!”
Jared walked down the stairs with a tray of food. He placed it on the table near the couch

On Bummeo’s walk, she began to notice all the wonderful sights around her. People, weird machine things on wheels, really tall plants. She couldn’t quite name them, but she knew she was enjoying her surroundings. With every step she took, she continued to see what felt like a heaven.
“It is so different from home.” She thought. Trying to process what she was seeing.
Swiftly, two men walked up to Bummeo. She smiled, knowing it was the friendly thing to do and attempted to walk around them. Unfortunately, the men were blocking her view and refusing to let her pass. These men appeared quite muscular and it was beginning to intimidate Bummeo.
“If you two would excuse me…Ahh. Ouch!”
Bummeo was tugged around. The two men grabbed her and threw her into their van. Inside the van, was a chair they had tied her too. Bummeo started pushing things around, screaming, and fighting to kick the door open. Sadly, the door was closed tight with no way of escape. Her mouth was covered with a cloth to prevent her screams. Eventually, she stopped trying and a tear rolled down her face as she stared out the
