Response Essay-It's Time To Stop Bullying

Bullying is an issue that transcends ages, ethnicities, and cultures, and school seems to be the one place where bullying is the most evident. I do not think school are the cause for bullying, but when bullying is ignored nothing good is proceeds. Bullying is an act that is recognized as bad, but it is not always stopped. Over the last couple of years bullying has become a matter that numerous people have been working against. Organizations have created programs to explain the dangers of bullying and to encourage other students to report a situation in which a peer gets bullied. As these organizations have done their part to bring awareness and put an end to bullying, more students have reported bullying. The National Center for Education Statistics has reported that 36% of bully cases have been reported. Since 2013, anti-bully organizations have help reduce bullying by 25%, but there as 64% of cases gone unnoticed. I propose that students may continue to be bold and in addition that they show kindness. As a child, I was a bully. I remember making fun of a girl about two years younger than me. Now you may say; “That’s great. That your class did that but what does that have to do with bullying?” I tell you that it has everything to do with bullying because even when a student’s bully is reported, the child still feels unsafe and is afraid of the environment they are in. They have believed all the lies they were told and have become incapable of believing in themselves and in the potential they have.
