Schools throughout the United States have a major issue with bullying. About one in three children are bullied in the school (K. Kopsaz and P. Smokowski 2005 p. 101). Kopsaz and Smokowski (2005) explained the four different types of bullies, characteristics of their family, the reasons why they are the bully or the victim, and intervention strategies or how to prevent or reduce bullying. “Bullying is usually defined as a form of aggression in which one or more children intend to harm or disturb another child who is perceived as being us able to defend himself or herself” (K. Every day around the world, someone’s child is hurting another family child and the only thing they are doing is punishing the bully and not redirecting them nor their peers around them. Each school should take the time to explain what bullying is and the effects it has on the victim. Discuss with the student’s ways to prevent bullying and have then to sign against bullying to hold each other accountable. Then every day there will an assignment for the whole school to do a good deed every day. Every student, facility and staff are working together to make their school a safe environment.

After reading this article, it helped me realize bullying is very dangerous. I learned the effects of bullying for both the bully and the victim point of view. To make my classroom a safe environment of my educators, I will install in them that we are a family. Therefore, our family will help each other, build each other up, love one another and any action outside of that is not acceptable in our house (classroom). Also, share with them that the same respect we give one another will apply to our peers in the other
