Bullying is a big issue that America faces daily. Bullying is about power and control. Bullying is when using force or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to get him or her to do what one wants. Bullying is a form of harassment. Which is a demonstration of deliberately hurting somebody physically, verbally, or mentally. Tormenting is a part of bullying. Bullying includes harassment, hitting, pushing, or other unwanted touching; teasing and name-calling; sending threatening or rude messages, (such as, writings, visits, voice messages, or messages); or spreading false rumors. Harassing and cyberbullying, or tormenting that happens on the web, are touchy issues.

Some bullies suffer from self-esteem issues. Also, some bullies are normally the popular kids of the school. Meanwhile, some bullies bully because they have been victim to bullying and others bully in attempt to climb the social ladder in school. Some kids even bully because of peer pressure. Anyone can be victim to bullying. Bullying typically takes place during elementary, middle and high school. Bullying can occur at any age. It does not matter what age a person is bullied. Most of the time the victim does not speak up, speak up after it is too late or speaks up and becomes a survivor of bullying. Bullying has negative outcomes including impacts on mental health, substance use, and suicide. Bullying can leave victims feeling alone, isolated and humiliated. Most victims do not speak up because they may be afraid the bully will retaliate. Another thing is when dealing with bullying it is your word against theirs so the victim may feel like no one will believe them if they try to tell anyone or being labeled a snitch if they try to tell anyone.
