The belief that something one has witnessed coming from another is incorrect and undeniably wrong constructs the mindset that this person is wrong as a whole. This belief, or mindset, is very well the root of bullying, condescendence, and hatred. For a long time, people have put themselves undeservingly above others due to this. Bullying, which is probably the most common occurrence of these three, sadly, is a problem-causer of its own.
Bullying alone is a root for many other problems including low self-esteem, violence, and in extreme cases, suicide. But if one were to dive in a little deeper, they would discover that it does not begin with bullying, that bullying stems off from another problem. This problem being that when bullying is witnessed, it comes off too transparently. People simply see one person disagreeing with another and using humiliation and harassment as means to express this. Again, if one were to delve into the intent behind

An even deeper, and more direct root to this issue is that when someone believes that if the one he/she is evaluating isn’t within the same click, or a part of a common agreement, then they are below society as a whole, which again creates a society vs. one situation. Self-harm, drugs, alcohol, and even suicide are effects of extreme condescendence. “Even something as minor as, say, using a belittling tone towards another, can make that person’s emotions go downhill” Said Jacob Karter, a seemingly dedicated employee of the YMCA (Karter). Condescendence can ruin the workplace vibe, as well, and “when we speak to others, we put ourselves in their shoes before we respond. One of her teammates is jealous of her abilities, so she is always attempting to put her down by gossiping about her to their teammates and spreading rumors. Sadly, sometimes we treat others poorly in order to put ourselves up on a pedestal. Another factor that controls how we judge and treat others is how often we critically think about our present situations. Critically thinking is difficult in the heat of the moment. It is too easy to let our emotions control us rather than us controlling our emotions.…

When people have negative thoughts about others, it will likely happen to them first. In life, I have been seeing this problem many times. For example, good and rich people always get the most animosity from bad and poor people. While rich people think about how to earn more money and build their career in right way, poor people waste time to think about rich people and be jealous of others’ successes. In consequence, rich people get richer while poor people still maintain their normal…

Instead, we act as if what we know is true no matter what and infuse that into what we think of others. If we had an experience in which someone in a group was being stingy to us, we would think that everyone who’s in that person’s group are carbon copies of that person. In The Outsiders, Greasers and Socs are always stereotyped by each other due to the experiences they’ve had. Each group thinks everyone in the other group is the exact same. Every Soc thinks a Greaser is someone that has long hair loaded with hair grease and has an empty-handed family (S.E. Hinton 1967).…

Bullying happens when children and adults use force to tease, torment, and embarrass the people they are targeting. Bullies will target their victims because they are smarter, or because the bully feels threatened by the others who are smarter. If there is someone who feels threatened by someone then they should talk to an adult about it, or deal with it in a peaceful way. Because it obviously isn’t a nice thing to do by harming people since there is a problem in your life. Because of people bullying others, some kids go to school every day and have the fear of getting picked on and called names.…

The boys involved were not held accountable for their actions because the school viewed the behaviors as normal mischief.…

One problem that is ever evolving and continuously effects young adolescence in school is bullying. Bullying can be defined as an activity in which someone intentionally participates in either physically or emotionally harming a peer through any medium; such as words, actions, or technology. By applying this definition to the term bullying, it makes sense that almost every teenager in America can identify a time when they were bullied, when they bullied someone else, or a time when they saw a peer get harassed. And with an increase in technology use, minorities in school, and a growing LGBT group in the education system the problem is only going to get worse. There is a common misconception in the adult community as well as media that somehow…
