Pressure from friends, practical jokes, fear, and anger drive teenagers to carry out this horrific act that can lead to several negative effects.
Victims of cyberbullying can experience many of the same effects as children who are bullied in person. There is no doubt that cyberbullying has a very negative impact on its victims, studies have shown that children affected by cyberbullying feel a wide range of negative emotions as result of being cyberbullied. These negative emotions include: anger, sadness, feeling hurt, depression, embarrassed and afraid.
Children who are cyberbullied also experience negative behaviors such as poor concentration, low achievement at school and absenteeism from school.
There are several factors that show that cyberbullying has more extreme effects than any other type of bullying.
