Bullying Being Victimized Essay

Have you ever been personally targeted by another human being? Perhaps, not having trash thrown at you, but being verbally victimized? The topic of bullying can be a very serious and controversial subject in this day in age. The most common forms of bullying are physical abuse such as defacing of someone else’s personal belongings, kicking, or hitting; verbal abuse such as spreading rumors, harassing, or name-calling; and non-physical or non-verbal such as excluding someone from a group. There are many negative side effects that both the person being bullied, and the bully themself, suffer from. Being bullied throughout childhood can cause children to experience low self-esteem, loneliness and depression. While the victims of bullying are exposed to mistreatment and abuse, the bully may also be receiving that same treatment from another outside source such as …show more content…
Growing up, everyone is raised and taught with different morals and beliefs. People are different, and sometimes people’s differences don’t get along with other peoples differences, which can cause problems. Some children are brought up and raised by irresponsible, neglectful parents who shape who their kids turn out to be. Although some people may claim that they can brush off the hurtful words directed at them, those feelings can get stored deep down and sooner or later may be reopened and feel like an open, burning wound. There will always be the argument that there are bigger problems than bullying, such as family issues, drug addictions, world hunger, or even access to clean water. There will be people who believe that victims of bullying are just looking for attention or a way to get noticed by others.
