It all starts with the parents. A child should have supportive, controlling parents who teach them right from wrong. Parents who let their children do whatever they want will soon learn that their child has gotten in some form of trouble. A child will not always get his or her way in everything they do, and that is a lesson every child needs to be taught. If all children were on the same page, there would not be as many bully victims in this world. Bullying should be reported when it is seen. Even if it is just an argument, it’s best to report it because that argument could turn into a fight at any given moment. As mentioned earlier, most people who are bullied are of another culture or are transgender or gay. All people were created the same, therefore, they should be treated the same. Just because a person can not speak english well or they are gay, they should be treated like completely normal humans. People may not always agree with their decisions, but that is none of their business. They still deserve to be treated equally. All bullies deserve some form of punishment. Moving them across the classroom at school will not fix anything. Perhaps detention will teach them a lesson that they need to learn. In some cases, bullies need more punishment than detention. Some bullies commit crimes in their actions. “ If a serious criminal offence is thought to have been committed then the school/teacher has an obligation to inform the police.”(Nicholson: Schools, Bullying, and the Law) Those who commit crimes should receive a punishment from law enforcement officers. It could be a verbal warning, or the bully could end up sitting in a jail cell if the situation was bad enough. No bully should get by with hurting someone physically, emotionally, or mentally without getting some type of
