This 2007-research study’s objective was to acquire an improved understanding as to the impact of cyber-bullying on students and to refine prevention communications. The research sample featured 148 middle and high school students, who were interviewed in short focus groups separated by gender. The research determined that students, mostly females, considered cyber-bullying as a serious problem that is seldom tackled by school officials. The research team, all of whom possess doctoral degrees, also offered multiple recommendations for schools to help thwart cyber- bullying.
