Bullying can happen anywhere at anytime and to anyone. Whether it’s on the internet through a fake page using cruel direct words, or in person. Bullying is considered both physical and just speaking. Cruel words make people feel like they have no one. Victims of bullying everyday second guess the value of life and don’t want to feel pain or have to hear or see the words. This is reality for 12 year old Rebecca Ann Sedwick who jumped 60ft to her death after getting cyberbullied and receiving messages “to go kill herself” and “why she was still alive?”(Pearce) Cyberbullying is an issue that needs to be stopped. People cyberbully for a number of reasons. Some people say its revenge against people who have done something to them in the past. Some people say they deserve it. It was fun. calling them names and everyone is laughing giving the cyberbully motivation. theres no consequence. Kids get away with cyberbullying all the time so why quit they won 't get in trouble anyways. There are numbers of things we can do as parents, older siblings,grandparents maybe even teachers. Its as easy as teaching them young make sure they know what they are doing when they get online, Age appropriate, block cites. for example facebook you have to be 14 years old to be on, there are kids who still put in a fake age to get onto these websites block sites that aren 't suitable for your kids. Make sure you keep a close eye as they are growing up so they don 't become a bully themselves or a victim. The difference between this generation 's bullying and then, Is they went home to a safe home there was no internet to go on to. No myspaces, facebooks and instagrams no way to communicate unless you saw them in person. 90 percent of kids have seen cyberbullying and ignored
