Why People Bully

Bullying can cause a physical and emotional toll on one’s body, including, low self-esteem, anxiety, physical illness, self-harm, and in some cases even suicide. Bullying is a negative peer relationship, that is usually between two or more significant others. Most people are aware that bullying is a problem, but they do not always act upon it. Not all people realize what can happen when someone is bullied, witnesses someone being bullied, and even how it affects the bully. Everyone can be affected by bullying. When it comes to bullying people need to realize that there are many negative outcomes.
Notably, one of the causes of bullying is often dealt with the culture. In some cases, when a culture is fascinating with winning, power, and violence, this can cause someone to become a bully. When a family is not warm, loving, or in which the feelings are not often shared, them there is more of a chance that the child will become a bully. The child is more likely to bully at the home or in other locations in which the child would meet others. There are many effects’ that can happen to a person when it comes to bullying. For example, someone can experience low self-esteem, physical illness, self-harm, suicide, and anxiety. The effects can vary depending if a person is being bullied, or witnessing someone, or even for the bully. Several of the effects that someone who is bullied can expect are depression and anxiety, which is increased feelings of sadness or loneliness, and decreased academic achievement.
