Bullying is a major problem among all schools in the United States and all over the world. Bullying generates fear, alters a student's abilities to learn, and leads to anti-social behavior. It can lead to severe acts of violence such as suicide. Also, some school shootings have been linked to bullying like Columbine and Santana High Schools in the early 2000s. Through studies and very thorough research, programs have been created and authorized to help combat and ultimately prevent bullying in schools. There is a zero tolerance policy in place at schools to create a safe and fun environment. Students who are bullied often have trouble making friends and get very insufficient grades in class.
