According to Dilmac and Aydogan (2010), bullying is a crucial issue in today’s society. Although bullying is no longer tolerated as much as it was in the past, there continues to be a code of silence among children, youth, and families about bullying. In addition to this, bullying, along with an individual’s response to bullying, is usually learned within the family. The Perceived Social Competence Scale (PSCS) and the Youth Coping Index (YCI) are excellent clinical instruments that can be used with children, youth, and families that present with issues that might be traced to bullying in the present or past. In particular, the YCI is a 31-item instrument that measures an individual’s coping skills (Corcoran & Fischer, 2013). Also, the Family
