Bully or Bystander All around the world millions and millions of kids are either a bully or have been bullied. Students become bullies because “something is going on at home or they do it to be part of a group to connect with kids they have something in common with”. As stated in page 2 paragraph 7. How or why students are bullied is because of their glasses or their clothes. A lot of people see children getting bullied and do nothing about it those people are called bystanders. Many experts say that “being a bystander is just as guilty as being a bully” as stated in page 1 paragraph 4. Being a horrible bully is far worse than being a terrible bystander for many reasons. And they have to live with the guilt on their shoulders knowing that they have killed someone. They wouldn’t have to live with the guilt if they hadn’t bullied each other. Bystanders do not have to live with any guilt. Bystanders would not have to live with guilt because they are not the people who actually did it. Bystanders just sat and watched. So bullies can cause a lot of bad things to happen to other people. So that is one of the three reasons bullying is worse than a bystander. Furthermore, bullies can get into more trouble than bystanders can. Bullies are the ones doing the severe damage, bystanders could just lie and say that they did not see that kid getting bullied. Bystanders are lazy because they could not bother to tell a teacher. That is why being a bully is worse than being a bystander. So that is my second reason of why I think being a bully is worse than being a bystander. To end with, bullies cause very severe and bad damage to other people. They can cause physical damage like hitting a low and wanting to put the pain on someone else, peer pressure on wanting to be expected, and suffering a large amount of punishment as found on page 1 paragraph 5.
