Eating healthy should be important to everyone. This topic interests me because if a person doesn’t eat healthy, they can get many diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, strokes, osteoporosis, and many different types of cancers. I want to continue and improve on eating healthier foods to prevent those diseases from occurring. My family really tries to incorporate more fruits in vegetables in meals and as snacks to create a better wellbeing for ourselves. By doing this, I can reduce my risk of getting those diseases. I need to make sure that I continue to buy healthier food and limit my intake of salt and sugar. However, if I totally quit eating salt and sugar, when I finally get it, I might eat too much. I should be able to avoid this by incorporating a little salt and sugar every day. A few changes that I’ve made so I don’t develop diseases is made healthier choices in foods in purchasing or eating. I always make sure that there’s always fruits and vegetables in the fridge so I have the option to eat a fruit or vegetable. When I go grocery shopping, I usually buy foods that have less fat or sugar than the regular brand. I don’t really notice the difference in taste when I’m buying the foods that have less fat or sugar. In order to avoid headaches, I need to make sure that I drink enough water every day to remain hydrated. If I don’t drink enough water throughout the day, I know why I got that headache and will remember to drink more water the next day. During the summer months, I need to make sure that I take my allergy medicine every day to reduce the effects that my allergies have on myself, such as sneezing, coughing, and watery eyes. If I end up forgetting to take my allergy medicine just one day, I am expected to receive a major headache, along with sneezing, coughing, and watery
