Why would you eat something you have been scared of and running away from? There are some people who would say no to that. People who eat them are probably wealthy to have insects for lunch or it is because of the nutrients and iron in the insects. People who don’t eat them are probably disgusted by it or it is because of its price. But I know, I’m not putting little monsters on my menu if I am an American chef. For instance, a small amount of bugs can cost a great deal of money. Maybe having insects for lunch is going to cost you two dinners amount of money to fill your belly. There aren’t lots of farms for specifically raising insects that are to be eaten. That is why insects cost so much. Even if there are people who are going to raise them, it is going to be hard raising them. They are hard to see if the insects are small. Making sure that they don’t fly away or walking away from the farm is going to be a challenge. Also, eating insects will not solve the problem of people eating animals like cows. Why you ask? If everyone in this world ate insects, the whole entire population of insects would drop dramatically. Then that would be bad also. So what would be a good idea then? Eat bugs or animals? It doesn’t really help the environment much because of the little insect farms we have, the population of edible insects is low. So if we all started eating insects, the edible insect population would drop. And eating insects is just like eating cows again. If we eat insects, the cows get to reproduce and its population would grow. If we eat cows, the insect population would grow too. So if we eat one of them, the other one gets to reproduce and grow.
