The show Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a very “literary concept” filled show by each situation in this episode containing lessons and themes hidden within the synopsis. The show contains episodes and scenes that display the knowledge of literary and figurative elements due to the writer of “Buffy” having experience in literature and figurative language. The lessons that are displayed in the show tie into real lessons experienced in life as a result of most problems that the Sunnydale inhabitants face being the same moral conflicts teenagers face in real life. The fairy tale characters call “the Gentlemen” take the voices of the Sunnydale inhabitants which both strengthens and creates new relations between the characters proving that something good will always come out of the bad things in life.
In the episode “Hush”, everyone in Sunnydale, including Buffy and her friends, has their voices taken away by the gentlemen.
