Finding out how someone thinks can be difficult. Lots of the time one wonders why people do the things they do in life. Crazy people and their actions confuse lots of people. The main question is what’s wrong with them and what is going through their brain. Throughout the story the FBI and police used psychological and scientific methods such as case studies, interviewing, natural observation, and positive correlation, to help find out who a serial killer, named Buffalo Bill was.
In this movie there was a mysterious serial killer named Buffalo Bill. Buffalo Bill was a killer that would kidnap women and cut their skin off to make clothing. He was a nut job. A new FBI agent in training, Clarice, was asked to investigate this case and try to figure out who the man was and where he was. FBI chief, Jack Crawford, sent Clarice to a psych ward where a man named Dr. Hannibal Lecter was being held. Dr. Hannibal Lecter was a famous imprisoned psychiatrist. He was very smart and new much information on Buffalo Bill. In the end Clarice figures out who Buffalo Bill is through clues from Dr. Hannibal Lecter and different psychological and scientific methods.

One person Clarice interviewed multiple times was Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Dr. Hannibal Lecter would know a lot of information about who Buffalo Bill was and the types of things he does. Dr. Hannibal thinks in the same way as Buffalo Bill. Clarice would ask Lecter many questions about himself and he was very smart and started to ask questions about her. He got into her head and asked about her childhood. He turned the tables on Clarice by asking her questions, which took away from the interview. He did this deliberately because he knew that the FBI was trying to understand his thoughts. Lecter was very observant so during the interview he noticed every little thing about
