There are many necessary layers when it comes to the roles, powers and regulations that are necessary to successfully run the budget that fuels this great nation. With so many contributing factors involved in drawing out a budget, who has the final say in what the budget is going to be? To make sure that there are necessary checks and balances there are actually multiple budgeting authorities that are implemented out of necessity. The roles of the Office of Management and Budget as well as the Congressional Budget office are different in many ways, but are both necessary to ensure efficiency. This is a strictly an outside methodical as well as objective analysis with the sole purpose of supplying an outside perspective. The outlined budget will summarize and validate the findings of the overall analysis. There are many divisions within the Congressional Budget office that all have very different and important roles in the overall finished analysis that is given to the United States Congress. Starting at the top there is an overall Congressional Office director. This is an appointed position which is held for at least four years. The director is appointed after much consideration by the speaker of the House of Representatives and Senate. One of the many divisions underneath the director is the budget analysis division which is responsible for cost estimates of every proposal that goes before the committee. There is a whole tax analysis division which not only analyzes the distribution of taxes but is responsible for the analysis that any new laws may have on taxes. There are many contributing factors into the necessity of having an additional third party budget being provided to the President of the United States. It’s vital to having that third party nonpartisan, objective that is only looking at the budget in an analytical matter without the involvement of politics or other contributing outside
