Buddy's Sweet Potato Pie Short Story

Improved Essays
Buddy had a chance at school; while Charley stayed at home. Buddy got to be a “somebody;” while Charley got to be a “nobody.” Buddy went to this professional meeting in New York; while Charley stayed at his house with his wife. This story is one that makes you think about what you’re ready. There’s one big symbol, and that’s sweet potato pie. It’s a symbol of love between Buddy and Charley; as is a symbol of his former life.
