This author agrees with some of the Buddhist guidelines and definitely what goes around comes around, you will reap what you sow sooner or later. Healing takes time and patience. Faith is what we are driven by and our own free will and poor decision making. As a healthcare provider it is important to allow the patient to follow whatever their faith is and what they believe without interference. It is just as important to make care the priority and help the patient and family navigate the healthcare system while supporting their spiritual needs. In healthcare today, payment is a major issue and institutions that withhold treatment due to payment will reap that seed while those who put care first and work out payment later and do charitable work will see the results. One final take home message is that no matter what, in the end we will all be held accountable for how we treat others whether they are sick or well, rich or poor but especially the sick and poor. The other important message for healthcare providers is to remember one day we or our loved one will be that patient and we might get the same bad or not so good treatment, we need to always put ourselves in the patient and the families place. Spirituality is important on some level to everyone, we need to respect that level and hope for the best healing
