Buck's Change In The Call Of The Wild

In the novel Call of the Wild, Buck changes throughout the story in many ways, from being pampered and spoiled to a leader then to becoming very loyal dog.When Buck resides with a family in the “sun-kissed Santa Clara Valley” (London 5) in California, he experiences life as a pampered and gentle natured house dog. Then London says “that Buck is a sled dog and a leader” (6), he is pampered and spoiled no more. The explanation for this is Buck has adjusted to the life outside a pampered area. Buck loves and is very loyal to John Thornton. After Buck is Beaten by Hal, John nurses Buck back to health and Buck becomes loyal and loves John (London 6). He has changed due to how buck was loyal to Judge Miller now loyal to John Thornton. Buck changes
