During the year of 1937, there was construction going on near Ettersberg, Germany. Before being taken over by the Nazis, Buchenwald was a prison for males. According to The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “Women were not part of the Buchenwald camp system until late 1943 or early 1944.” Although Buchenwald
